The theme for this project was inspired by personal memories from the different places that I’ve visited during my life. Some places were visited more than once, some places is very unlikely I’ll visit them again. The project started by collecting my favourite pictures of those places and then start some exercises that helped me to explore my personal feelings towards nostalgia. Collage and stitching were the exercises that helped me the most because they both help me to portray this anxiety of pulling and maintaining those precious memories together. That is how the idea of thread, wrapping, came along.
